چکیده

The review describes the problem of studying progressive changes hormones concentrations (parathyroid hormone, insulin, somatotropin, prolactin) in patients with chronic renal failure on pre-dialysis and dialysis stages. pathogenetic relationships between kidney function deterioration hormone as well their biological effects were evaluated. Parathyroid is considered an uraemic toxin, since its concentration blood begins to increase when glomerular filtration rate decreases below 50 ml/min. All stages disease are accompanied by disorders calcium-phosphorus metabolism. Prolonged excess parathyroid leads bone loss progression secondary hyperparathyroidism that a frequent complication later and, especially, those treatment. elevation insulin level consequence decrease excretion proximal tubules. So, it results half-life prolongation. Long-term therapy eliminates factors reduce degradation extrarenal tissues, which improvement sensitivity. Experimental clinical studies have shown somatotropin can adversely affect kidneys hyperfiltration glomerulosclerosis. risk possible side should be taken into account prescribing recombinant human insulin-like growth factor. prolactin usually increased due reduced clearance secretion. Hyperprolactinemia manifests galactorrhea hypogonadism. Dialysis can’t normalize prolactin. Modern options for treatment endocrine outlined this article. It was found play important role regulating blood. Endocrine one most components syndrome, requires further studies, aimed searching better strategies prevention hormonal imbalance disease.

Comparative Analysis of Serum Levels of Aluminum and Lead in Dialysis Patients, Pre and post Dialysis

Background: Accumulation or deficiency of trace elements can occur in hemodialysis patients and it increases risk of cardiovascular or other organs disorders. Special ions levels such as sodium and bicarbonate in dialysis fluid are accurately regulated but the remaining elements are not regularly measured. Aluminum and lead belong to the biologic performance free heavy metals .They also has a t...

Erythropoietin therapy in pre-dialysis patients with chronic renal failure: lack of need for parenteral iron.

BACKGROUND During erythropoietin therapy, scant information exists regarding the optimal target percent saturation of transferrin (TSAT), ferritin and the mode and amount of iron supplementation in pre-dialysis patients with anemia due to chronic kidney disease (CKD). HYPOTHESIS Pre-dialysis CKD patients may have different needs for iron supplementation than end-stage renal disease subjects d...

Opioids in renal failure and dialysis patients.

This article reviews the literature pertaining to the metabolism of several of the commonly used opioids, and the known activity of their metabolites. The effect of renal failure on the pharmacokinetics of these drugs and metabolites is then reviewed. Finally, the effect of renal dialysis on opioid drugs and metabolites is reviewed. Based on the review, it is recommended that morphine and codei...

The effect of borage tea on urine and blood biochemistry on non-dialysis chronic renal failure patients

Background: There is no curative treatment for chronic renal failure (CRF). Important strategies for the control and prevention of the advancement of CRF are increased renal function and decreased blood pressure (BP) and weight. Borage has many benefits, such as increased frequency of urination, decreased BP, and increased renal function. This clinical trial study was designed to determine the ...
